Nothing. It is absolutely free to use Howdy Coder. There's no signup involved and we are not collecting your data.
Anyone with little to no experience with development is the target audience for Howdy Coder. Ideally it's meant to fill the gap for professionals and researchers who need minor scripting or development but can't justify paying a developer.
Even for expereienced developers there are still cases where using Howdy Coder can be useful. If you find yourself creating many scripts to automate aspects of your workflow and are comfortable with AI generation then Howdy Coder can be used. I personally have used it for multiple scripts and find it to be a time saver.
The simpler the things you ask for, the better the AI will perform. Howdy Coder is intended for you to break things down into simple chunks and piece it all together. For small tasks, AI performs very well at generating the code. If it makes an error, you can use our modifying capabilities to go in and change the code.
While reading code is helpful for verifying the AI code, it isn't required. You will be fully capable of using all of Howdy Coder with reading any code. It does come with more risk you might miss the AI generating some nonsense code, but overall if you keep your requests small it should do fine.
